McGeough’s Bar & Restaurant opened it’s doors on 12th July 2000, right in the vibrant centre of town and from day one, we’ve been more than just a place to eat and drink.

We’ve been a local institution, a familiar meeting point, and a home away from home for locals and visitors alike. What started as a traditional Irish pub quickly grew into a bustling bar and restaurant known for warm hospitality, locally sourced Irish ingredients, and a menu that pleases all. Over the years, we’ve poured thousands of pints, plated countless meals, and raised a glass to everything from casual catch-ups to life’s biggest celebrations.

Now in 2025, McGeough’s stands as a cornerstone of the community, still family-owned, still fiercely passionate about quality, and still at the centre of it all. Whether it’s your first visit or your hundredth, we’re proud to offer something that feels timeless yet always fresh.
